How do I request access to IES?
To access IES, you’re required to be an Authorised User of an Organisation that has an IES subscription. Effectively the Organisation is equivalent to a Customer and as such each has a Customer Representative that has the authority to specify Authorised Users. Please contact your Customer Representative to request access to IES.
I tried logging in but there was not an available seat. What should I do?
Each Organisation can specify as many Authorised Users as they wish that can login and use IES. Further, an IES subscription agreement specifies the number of Concurrent Users that can simultaneously access IES. Typically, an Organisation specifies more Authorised Users than Concurrent Users and so at times there may not be a seat available when an Authorised User attempts to login. An Authorised User can try to login again later or contact their Customer Representative to request additional Concurrent User seats.
How do I make my work private or share with only a specified group of users?
IES supports access controls on the following:
- Project Folders
- Projects
- Flowsheet Folders
- Flowsheets
At present all access controls are maintained by IES Support. Please send requests for the addition of access controls to iessupport@orica.com
I wish to run training for several users in my Organisation. How do I do that with limited subscription seats?
Contact IES Support on iessupport@orica.com to request the temporary addition of seats to perform training.
When should I create a new Project?
Ultimately the decision on when to create a new Project is with the user however the few key points are worth considering. A Project is often used to configure Flowsheets and run Simulations for a particular site and/or circuit. A Project can contain multiple Flowsheets and Survey data. Keeping related data together within a single Project can ensure consistency of configuration and the ability to embed flowsheets of sub-circuits in other flowsheets to build larger integrated circuits.
Can I copy a Project?
At this point IES does not support copying Projects. A user can however copy a Flowsheet from one Project and paste it in another. Similarly for Mill Performance Management (MPM) documents such as Surveys, Mass Balances and Calibrations.
Can I move a Project to another Project Folder?
Yes, simply left click and hold the cursor on the Project and drag and drop it the destination Project Folder.
What equipment models can I use?
All IES Subscriptions include the standard library of equipment models for use in flowsheet simulation. Additional model libraries are available for subscription, most for a fee.
